Obituary of Warren F. Turner

Warren F. Turner, 84, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA. He was born to Benford and Florence Turner in Olympia, where he lived his entire life. He attended McLane grade school and Olympia High School. Warren was shipped off to Korea and served honorably in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. He was the only person out of his graduating high school class to actively serve in the Korean War. He married Sheldean “Deanie” Shepherd in Olympia; they were married for 62 years. Warren worked for Olympian Auto Parts as a Certified Parts Man then, in 1961, he joined the Olympia Brewing Company in Tumwater, WA, where he worked for over 31 years. Many friends considered him as an Olympia and family historian. His hobbies also included working in his yard, his grapes, and of course, trading stocks on Wall Street. Warren and Deanie also enjoyed traveling to their second home in Richland, WA, to enjoy the warm weather and spend time with their daughter and son-in-law. Warren is preceded in death by his parents; son, Denny Turner; brothers, Earl, Pete and Bill Turner; and sister, Mina Egolf, all of Olympia. He is survived by his wife, Deanie; daughter, De’Anna Reiten (Jeff Reiten); sister, Madge Ellis; brother-in-law, Ken Taylor; sister-in-law, Lois Pieren; and many nieces and nephews. Service Information:

A celebration of life will be held at South Sound Manor, 455 North Street SE, Tumwater, WA 98501 on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
