Obituary of Scot Jeffrey Suits

Scot Jeffrey Suits, 57, passed away in his home in Lacey, Washington, on February 28, 2018. He was born January 19, 1961, in Rapid City, South Dakota. From there, his family moved to Littleton, Colorado, where they resided for the next 22 years. Scot graduated from Arapahoe Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree. In 1990, he moved to Washington State, where he resided for the next 25 years, and established himself in Lacey as the General Manager of Great Floors. The majority of his professional life was dedicated to the flooring industry. Over 23 years, he earned a reputation as a savvy and successful businessman. He was very dedicated to the company and was known to his employees as “Dad.” Scot contributed to his community and took time to make sure those less fortunate had clothes to stay warm and food to stay full. He routinely sponsored families in need during the holiday seasons. He leaves big shoes to fill. Scot was a kind-hearted, competitive, fun-loving, positive-spirited, and generous man. His passion was traveling. His favorite escape was the Islands of Hawaii, particularly Sugar Beach at Kihei, Maui. He enjoyed lying in the sun with his toes in the sand, relaxing on the beach. Scot was a die-hard Denver Bronco fan. He enjoyed sports and, in his youth, was a marathon runner. Scot is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, C.J. and Leola Hoke, and Merton and Kathryn Suits; and a non-biological daughter, Ashley Jones. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Bonnie Suits of Sulton, Washington; brothers, Devin Paul Suits of Plant City, Florida, and Kyle David Suits of Mill Creek, Washington; nieces, Kylee, Kali and Kinzie Suits; great nephew, Beckham Donavan; and great nice, Piper Donaven. Scot also left behind the love of his life, Stacey, and four non-biological children, Cheryse and Austin Jones, and Miles and Morgan Johnson, all of Washington. Scot was recently blessed with being a grandfather to his adorable granddaughter, Harper Johnson. Scot, we hope whatever beach you’re on, you’re sitting with your grandparents and Ashley, sun shining, breezes blowing, a drink in your hand, and your toes in the sand. We all miss you so much and will never forget the Son, Dad and Papa you were. We love you! Please leave memories of Scot or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
