. PAUL C. YOUNG Paul C. Young, "Doughboy" 55, an Olympia resident for 15 years, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 2, 2005 after a short battle with brain cancer. Paul was born January 7, 1950 in Stockton, England to John and Evalyn (Turner) Young. Paul loved life. He touched many people with his laughter and humor. He enjoyed playing jokes on people and making them smile. Paul was always there to lend a helping hand to his friends and family when needed. Paul had worked as a plant mechanic at Western State Hospital for 31 years. He enjoyed traveling and camping in his R.V. He loved to draw and doodle. He collected eagle memorabilia and was meticulous about caring for his home. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Diane “his honey”; three sons, Paul C. Jr., Brian, and Curtis; two daughters, Shauna and Tonya; two stepdaughters, Michelle and Malinda Charles; one stepson, Jason Charles; two brothers, John Young and Jim Young; two sisters, Pat Loggin and Karen Wellingham; also six grandchildren. His parents and a stepson, Rick Charles, preceded him in death.
