Bobbie Yost

Obituary of Bobbie Jean Yost

Bobbie Jean Yost You lived your life with little needs, Full instead, of selfless deeds For everyone you did your best May God grant you Eternal rest. A mother holds her children’s hands for a while, their hearts forever. A truly loving and devoted mother and wife, Bobbie Jean Yost, passed away in her home surrounded by family on July 15th, 2010. She was born on October 10th, 1944 to Phyllis and Robert Takehara and was raised in Tacoma, WA. Bobbie graduated from Clover Park High School; during which she met her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Rick "Duffy" Yost, at the Parkland Movie Theater. They were married in July of 1964 and had four children which they raised in Olympia, WA. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, with family and her dog, Dolly, listening to Elvis, and eating Klondikes. Everyone who was fortunate enough to know her knew her as a giving person, with a gentle and loving heart, a friend ever true. She always told her children and grand children how much she loved them and how proud they made her. She also told them that throughout life they should "treat others as you want to be treated", a saying she lived by. She was truly the greatest wife and mother a family could want and we were truly blessed to have had her in our lives. We will all greatly miss her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother, and by her loving husband of 43 years, Rick Yost. She is survived by her four children: Robin Chase (Mike), Ricky Yost (Cindy), Mary Yost (John Antonelli), and Meghan Suelzle (Kyle Murphy); by her six grandchildren, Emma and Austin Chase, Tanner Yost-Bickle, Baylee Yost, Tucker Stroup and Madi Murphy; by her two sisters Betty Porter and Donna Allen; and by numerous other family members and friends. The daughter Mary may be contacted at 360-742-4095
