Obituary of C. Louise Irish Worden

. C. LOUISE IRISH WORDEN C. Louise Irish Worden, 85, of Lacey, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Panorama City Convalescent Center in Lacey. Louise was born January 20, 1920 in Montesano, Washington to Alvin and Verda (Fry) Atwood. She attended Olympia schools while growing up. On January 30, 1937 in Olympia, Louise married Floyd J. Irish. Floyd died in December of 1987. In 1994 at Tacoma, she married Herbert Worden who preceded her in death in June 2003. Louise had worked as the Postmaster for ten years in Federal Way, Washington. She also worked in the Scott Lake Club House for several years and was an Avon Lady for six years. She lived in Tacoma and Federal Way during her first marriage then in 1990 moved back to Olympia. In 2001 she and Herbert moved to Panorama City. Louise had several interests including crocheting, poetry and playing musical instruments. She loved to entertain in several of the local nursing homes. She was a member of St. Andrew's Methodist Church in Lacey. Survivors include one son, James F. (Ruth) Irish, Hartstein Island; one daughter, Shirley J. (Duane) Warner of Roy; two step-daughters, Janis Chastain, Lacey, Margie Flesland, Spokane; one sister, Viola Pennypacker, Chehalis; also five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; three step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, May 30, 2005 at St. Andrew's Methodist Church, 540 School St. SE, Lacey, WA 98503. Pastor Richard L. McPherson will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Department of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, PO Box 3866, Lacey, WA 98509-3866.
