Dear Dot, Michael and Laurie, What a wonderful portrait of Neal. I remember Neal as a patient and forgiving person. This world has lost a conscientious steward.

Although, I did not know my uncle well, his words at the departure of my own father was comforting to me. I am sorry that I did not make more effort to spend more time with him. My sympathy to Dot, Mike and Laurie and their family and friends.
It has been many years ago but I enjoyed getting together with all my uncles and father at the same time. He will be missed by everyone.

Dear Dot, My thoughts have been with you. I feel a loss for having been too new to the gallery to really have known Neal, as I see that we share similar interests.

Dear Dot,
Though we met fairly recently in Senior Center poetry classes in 2005, and haven't kept in touch regularly since then, you need to know how much you and Neal inspired me. Your gentle words evoked powerful images. Most of all, I am grateful for your obvious friendship and affection for each other, which always brightened up the room. A great example for all of us! Bless you both. Love to you and your family.

Hello, just wanted to send my heartfelt feelings for all the family.
I know Neal is in a soft and serene place now and though he is gone he will never be away. As a member of the Art Gallery we
were so appreciative of him. May all family members find peace
in knowing he is now okay. Much love, Marigem Emde

Neal's far-ranging interests and talents were appreciated by all those who were fortunate to know him. At the Senior Center he and Dot shared talk and poetry and friendship and exercise. Neal was a gentle, observant, accepting man, who continued to surprise me with his knowledge and wisdom. His has left us with a deepened sense of the beauty of the earth and of our own potential.

Dot and family,
I am sorry for our loss. I am so grateful to have met and known Neal, his art, kindness and enthusiasm for life. I'll will miss the opportunities to talk photography and art. But I didn't miss the opportunity to have met a kind man with an easy chuckle and smile. Our few exchanges enriched my art. Peace to all who knew and loved him.
