Obituary of Jeffrey Wayne Withers

Beginning at 3:00 p.m. Fri. Aug 22, 2008 Masonic Center 455 North St. SE Tumwater Jeffrey Wayne Withers Jeffrey Wayne Withers, 47, of Rochester died August 15, 2008. He was born September 18, 1960 in Catania, Sicily, Italy to Gordon L and Greta L. Withers. Before moving to Rochester, he lived in Palm Springs and Hemet, California and Summit Lake. In June 1988 in Palm Springs, Jeffrey married the former Lisa Engelhardt, who survives. In 1981 he earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Cal State Los Angeles and in 1997 an MBA from City University, Seattle in Telecommunication Management and was a certified flight and instrument instructor. Jeffrey was a flight instructor at Hemet Ryan Airport; Captain with Reeves Air, Honolulu, Hawaii; First Officer with Sky West Airlines; and a self employed flight instructor at Pearson Air in Olympia. He was a Gold Wing enthusiast belonging to GWTA, GWRRA and ABATE. Other hobbies included electronics, computers and music. He was an amateur ham radio operator and past president of OARS. His call sign was W3GE. Including Lisa, he is survived by one sister, Kathleen S. Anderson, Mill Valley, California and his parents of San Luis Obisbo, California. Those who wish may pay their respects beginning at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008 at the Masonic Center, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater with the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Graveside committal will follow at Masonic Memorial Park, Tumwater.
