Obituary of Ron Williams

Ron Williams Ron Williams, 72, passed away of cancer November 23, 2011 at home in Olympia, Washington, with family at his side. He was born May 10, 1939 in Decatur, Illinois. He graduated from South Salem High, and earned an AA degree in fire science in Ventura, California, where he worked for the city fire department from 1964 to 1969. He married Nancy Worthley in 1964 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved to Astoria, Oregon in 1969 where he was a firefighter for the city for five years. From 1974 to 2001, he was self employed. Ron lived in Astoria for 40 years before moving to Olympia in 2008. He loved baseball (especially following his son’s games), working on cars or in his shop, and spending time with family. Ron is survived by his wife Nancy Williams of Olympia; son, Greg Williams and fiancee, Kat Taisacan; grandson, Garrett; and brothers, Don and Jack Williams.
