Obituary of Marceline Marie Williams

na Marceline M. Williams Marceline “Marcy” Marie Williams 81, passed away Saturday, March 12th at Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma. Marcy was born September 21, 1929 to Onie & Ella Leathers in Sedro- Woolley, Washington. Marcy was adopted by Bernie and Emma White when she was 15. She graduated from Olympia High School Class of 1947. Following High School graduation she worked at Seattle First Bank in Olympia until her marriage on June 17, 1950 in Olympia, WA. They moved to Seattle where they lived from 1950 to 1955 while there she worked at University National Bank until June 1952. In 1955 the family relocated to Tacoma. Marcy retired from the work force to raise their 3 sons for the next 27 years. She returned to work at the Pierce County Blood Bank. A job she loved for 12 years. In 1990 she and Alden moved to Lakeland Village in Allyn, Washington, where they have resided for 20 years. While living in Tacoma she became active in the Tacoma Swim Club for 14 years, driving to turnouts, officiating at meets and attending board meetings. Marcy was an avid reader often reading several hours a day. She liked the being in the sun whether it was at the Oregon Coast, South Lake Tahoe or Tucson. Some of her more memorable memories had to be: The Palace of Versailles; Camel ride to the Pyramids, The Holy Land and the Steam Wheel Cruise up the Mississippi. Marcy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alden, Sons David (Debra) of Gig Harbor, Jeffrey of Tacoma and Daniel of Olympia, 5 grandchildren, Allison, Natalie, John, Haley, and Michael. Marcy enjoyed attending The Adventure of Faith Church 4705 Jackson Avenue SE, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
