Obituary of Jessie K. Kafka Williams

Jessie K. Kafka-Williams Jessie was born July 1, 1924 in Casper, Wyoming. Some years later her family moved to Oak Creek, Colorado. She attended Foothill College becoming a Tech Engineer. In 1940 she married and started a family then moved to Menlo Park, Calif. in 1943 before settling in Palo Alto, Calif. She worked for Fairchild Semi and then Hewlett Packard. In 1977 she moved to Sunnyvale, California. Jessie was a Semi Pro Bowler and an avid Bingo player. She remarried Herald Williams. After retiring in 1989, she moved to Olympia, to be near her family and to help care for her ailing mother. Following a long illness she peacefully joined our Lord December 16, 2005. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ray and Helen Phelps and twin sister, Jean Wright. She is survived by her husband, Herald of Olympia; daughter, Jeanne Armstrong of Olympia and granddaughter, Debbie Backus-Aiken of Redding, Calif, all formerly of Sunnyvale, Calif.; sisters, Lee Ragerson and Laura McGowan both of Centralia; stepson, Mark Williams of Sunnyvale and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
