Obituary of William Wild

William "Bill" Wild After a long and courageous battle with cancer, William Wild, 40, of Tacoma, went home to be with the Lord on New Years Day, 2008. He had been a patient at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place. Bill was born June 27, 1967 in Seattle to Donald E. and Marian J. Wild. William was raised in Olympia and later moved to Tacoma. He loved photography, playing his guitar, composing music and working on his computer. Family and friends were everything to him. His charisma would light up a room when he came in it. His willingness to help and his generosity toward others and a great sense of humor made him unforgettable. William's strong faith in God helped him in life and on his daily struggles with cancer. A favorite tree in the backyard that he would take people to pray at, brought him great comfort and a sense of peace. He had a special affection for his mom’s oatmeal with raisin cookies. He worked as a computer technician at various places in Olympia and Safe Harbor at Satsup. William leaves behind his parents; Donald and Marian Wild; a brother, Charles McCullough; two sisters, Sharon Rayee and Reta McKinlay; also two step-children from a previous marriage, Taralyn and Tyler and numerous other family members and friends. A celebration of Bill’s life will held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Masonic Center, 455 North Street SE, Tumwater, WA. Contributions may be made in Bill’s name to Franciscan Hospice, 2901 Bridgeport Way West, University Place, WA 98466.
