Obituary of Ida Lou Wickham

Ida Lou Wickham Ida Lou Wickham was born in Allen’s Grove, Wisconsin on April 18, 1930 to Ida Holford and Leon Wickham. Lou was a primary teacher for Toledo Elementary School. She moved to Olympia after retiring in 1994. Granny loved to watch the birds from her lakeside studio home on Black Lake. Lou also loved the mountains and spending time at the ocean with her family. She spent many hours doing what she loved best – creating beautiful works of art. Lou was an amazing artist in many mediums, including oil painting and beadwork. In the recent years, she joined an artist trading card group and enjoyed trading cards with other local artists. Ida Lou left this world as we know it, passing peacefully on November 23, 2008. She is survived by a large loving family; Children: Toni G. Sandvigen and husband Michael J. Sandvigen John P. Stern Steve M. Stern and wife Lorna A. Stern Samantha L. Wickham and partner Eric Sieverling Grandchildren: Isaiah J. Sandvigen Michelle L. Blocklinger and husband John Blocklinger Jessica M. Vessels and husband James R. Vessels Michael J. Sandvigen Charity A. Stern Jon J. Stern Great Grandchildren: Dominique L.D. Vessels James R. Vessels, Jr. Timothy M. Vessels Persivel J. Vessels AND--- many, many “adopted” children.
