Obituary of Teri L. Watkins

Teri L. Watkins, went to be with the lord above on May 4th 2006 after a brief battle with cancer. Teri was born on December 16, 1955 in Moses Lake, WA. She graduated from Mead High School in Spokane, WA, class of 1974. After high school she married her first husband, Mark Joralemon of Deer Park, WA in August of 1974. She then had her only two children, Jason Allen and Chad Elliott. After her divorce from Mark in 1980, she entered the US Army in February of 1981. First stationed at Fort Bragg, NC as a re enlistment clerk of the 35th signal brigade until September of 1982, where she then transferred to Frankfurt Germany as a postal clerk and auditor until February of 1984, when she chose to leave the military. Teri did later become a member of the Army reserves, from June 1987 to June 1990. After leaving the army in 1984, she went to work for the Sharon Harris Nuclear Power Plant in Raleigh, NC. In 1986 switched careers and went to work for the North Carolina State Department of Transportation, where she worked until returning home to Spokane, WA in 1991. In 1993, she went to work for the Washington State Department of Licensing, driver license department, where she worked until her passing from us. In 1993 Teri moved to Yakima, WA where she met her second husband, Lonnie Dean Watkins, whom she married in December of 1995. She then moved to Kirkland, WA with her husband where they lived until purchasing their first home in Spanaway, WA in 1997. In 2001, Teri and Dean moved to Olympia, WA where she spent the last part of her career and wonderful life. Teri was a great wife, mother, and friend to everyone she knew, touching many lives, she will be missed by all she knew, as we have already found out. Survivors include her husband Dean (Lonnie) Watkins of Olympia, WA, mother Marjorie Armitage of Yakima, WA, sister Kathy of Yakima, WA, son Jason Joralemon and his wife Danelle of Deer Park, WA, son Chad Joralemon and his wife Melissa of Deer Park, WA, and five grandchildren, Colton, Kamden, Kayla, Sharyl, all of Deer Park, WA and Jaxton of Olympia, WA. Preceded in death by her father, George W. Peoples, and numerous grandparents.
