Obituary of Bill Warren

James William "Bill" Warren On July 5, 2009, our beloved husband, father and grandfather began his new journey with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bill was born in Lamar, Colorado on August 1, 1929. At the age of 18 he joined the US Navy, serving honorably until August 1951; settling in Tacoma, WA. He was extremely competent in home entertainment electronics and appliances and opened Warren’s Appliances in the Proctor area of Tacoma. After his business closed, he moved to Spokane in 1969. Bill was Children’s Church director for several years at First Church of the Nazarene, in Spokane. He joined RCA in 1974 as a technician and moved to the Seattle area in 1975 with his wife and children. RCA became General Electric and for ten years, Bill earned top salesman awards for the Pacific Northwest from GE’s Elite Edison Club. He retired from GE in 1994 after 24 years. He is survived by his wife, Tish at home in Olympia, Washington; daughters Elaine Holl (John) Olympia; Laura Nugent (Tim) Woodinville, son’s Peter Warren (Janet) Sammamish and Paul Warren (Audrey) Olympia, daughters Nancy and Angela Warren, and 11 Grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Roo-Lan Healthcare Center, Lacey, Washington and Providence Sound Hospice, Olympia for their loving care of Bill during his illness. Any remembrances can be made to Alzheimer’s Association in his memory.
