Obituary of Alfred F. Ward

Alfred F. “Franklin” Ward Alfred F. "Franklin" Ward, 87, of Olympia, Washington passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. He was born in Deepwater, Missouri on March 7, 1925 to Fred and Nora Taylor Ward. He graduated from Clinton High, Clinton, Missouri, enlisted in the Navy in 1944, and served in the Aleutian Islands as a signalman. Frank married Jeannette Calvin on October 1, 1945. They moved to Southern California where he managed Long's Drug Stores for 32 years. In 1978, they moved to Toledo, Washington, Jeannette's hometown. They bought a farm and lived there until they moved to Olympia. He is preceded in death by daughter, Melinda Jane; infant grandson, Jeffery Calvin Lyon; and sister, Mildred Renfro. He is survived by his wife of 66 years; daughters, Kerri (Jim), Joan Wright (Greg), and Denise Gere; 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
