Obituary of Wayne L Wallace

7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 18, 2007, Masonic Center, Tumwater, WA Wayne L Wallace died September 17th of lung cancer, at his home near Tumwater, surrounded by his family. Born in Snohomish WA April 25, 1924, he married Louise Simmons on October 14, 1950. Wayne served in the U.S. Army in Korea, and was a Life Member of the VFW. He proudly flew an American Flag at his home. He retired as Assistant Chief of the Kirkland Fire Department in 1979, and retired to Roslyn WA for many years. He loved camping with his family, hunting, fishing, gardening, and woodworking. Wayne attended the First Baptist Church of Tumwater, and lived his faith in God by setting an example for all who knew him.Wayne is survived by his wife Louise, sons Darrell (Lori) of Rochester and Dale (Tami) of Olympia, daughters Jeanne Wallace of Vancouver, Aleta Paraghamian (Chris) of Seattle, Neva Redmond (Kevin) of Stanwood, Joy Moran (Bob) of Rochester, Ann Wallace Lofton (Matthew) of Granada Hills CA, and brother Leighton Wallace DVM of Everett, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Tumwater.
