So sad to hear of Susan's (Elizabeth) passing. I went to junior high and high school with her in Liberal, KS. I used to go to her house on Saturdays and we would iron each other's hair! Had to have that long straight hair! I have been trying to find her for our 50th class reunion. So sad to find her obituary. She was a good friend

Dearest Elizabeth...I'm thinking about you and praying for you still every day. I wish I could have had a longer relationship with you and cherish the friendship we have. I wear the necklace you gave me often and think about you everytime I wear it. You were so special, funny and amazing.
Peace.

To Alexis and family:
I just wanted to say that, in the family that was our BHFC soccer team, Elizabeth was an important mom for all of us. I think one of the things I appreciated most was her compassion for all the girls. She seemed particularly aware of the fact that we had school and other things to think about besides soccer, and made me feel that it was alright (good, really) to put those things first.
As you can see from all these messages of support, Elizabeth was really a wonderful friend to so many people, and while I'm saddened to learn that she has passed, I will smile when I think about her. Like so many other people have said, I wish you the best in getting through this and I'm available if you ever need anything.

Dear Alexis and Julian: I think you know that your Mom was my oldest and dearest friend. We shared many years of work, friendship and laughter. My memories include trips to Boulder to the Body Shop, shopping and sharing vintage clothes, checking out the perfume counters around the world, parties after work, books shared and loved, and of course watching the children grow and change. Even though we were in different states and countries for many of those years we remained close. I am so glad I had a chance to visit recently and had the opportunity to share and say goodbye. My love to you both. C xx

We were all saddened to hear of the passing of Elizabeth. Our hearts go out to her friends, family and loved ones. I did not know Elizabeth, other than vicarously through my conversations with my valued colleage and friend John. However, I cannot help but feel a loss for the human community. I'm here if you ever want to talk.

I so enjoyed spending "soccer mom" time with Elizabeth, both with Capital High School and Black Hills Football Club. She was such a delight! She always had a cool craft project going and particulary I loved her sewing and quilting. She was such a gentle and smart as a whip presence! Our whole family was shocked and saddened to learn of her passing. Erica, Maggie, Scott and I all wish Alexis and Julian courage and strength in this most difficult time.

Alexis & Julian:
Whitney and I are stunned and saddened by your mother's death. After you both were away at school, your mom and I reconnected but then lost touch again. I had assumed we would just run into each other again and go have coffee. Whenever we did bump into each, it was always a fun and delightful few moments. One of the last times I saw her was a result of a little prank she played on me... My doctor had referred me to a clinic to have my respiration evaluated. When I scheduled the appointment, the woman on the other end of the phone didn't mention who she was, but told me when I came in to ask for Nurse Mary. I thought, Nurse Mary? That's odd. When I arrived for my appointment and asked for Nurse Mary, the receptionist giggled and a door swung open and there stood your mom, aka Nurse Mary. She administered the breathing tests, but we were both laughing so hard, I'm sure she got some fairly skewed readings. BUT, there are so many other special times I could share. The book club she dragged me by the ear to. Her love of those first two pugs we came to know as the pantyhose terrorists, because if I wore hose into your house, they were in shreds by the time I came out. Above all, what I remember most about your mom was her devotion to you both. I hope her strength and love get you through this time. I will miss her.

I was so very fortunate to have crossed paths with Elizabeth. I immediately knew we had a lifelong connection and would always be friends. Elizabeth was such a kind, creative, funny, beautiful person who I will dearly miss. St. Francis will be looking kindly on you Elizabeth because of all of the animals lives you touched! Especially the puggies in your life! Everyone who was lucky enough to have known you will miss you so much. I absolutely adored you and will miss you so very much.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Alexis and Julian.
