Obituary of Mari Alyce Vlahovich

Mari Alyce Vlahovich Mari, 86, passed away June 11, 2012 in Olympia, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell P. Vlahovich, who was killed in the Korean War in 1951, brother James Colson and sister Kay Jarman. She is survived by her daughter Sandy and son-in-law David Grout of Olympia, Washington. Mari attended Stadium High School and worked in the Tacoma Shipyards during WWII. She is a retired member of the Retail Clerks Union and, as a war widow, was a member of Gold Star Wives. Her interests went from “older” movies to the Seattle Mariners and fine art. She was very gifted with artistic talent in her own right.
