Obituary of Peggy Traff

Friday, August 8, 2008, 5-7PM, Masonic Center, 455 North Street SE, Tumwater, WA Peggy passed away on Friday August 1, 2008 at the age of 52 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Peggy was a loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as a nurse and researcher in the Tacoma and Olympia area for over fifteen years, profoundly touching the lives of patients and co-workers with her compassionate and loving care. Peggy was also an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers and feeding the neighborhood birds.But her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, best friend and soul mate, Kevin, children Steven Traff, Katie (Clint) Standlea, David (Mary) Peterson, Christina (Sean) Pederson, Shery (Chris) Kim, and Vicky (Mike) Hilton. Peggy has seven grandchildren; Conner, Max, Ethan, Dillan, Courtney, Sam and Brandon. In addition she is survived by her mother Delores Reagan, stepmother Leah Reagan, sisters; Valerie and Dena, brothers; Mike, Jeffery, and Scott, and numerous other relatives and friends including Donna (mother-in-law), Donita (sister-in-law), Rodney (brother-in-law), Matt (nephew), and Darcy (niece). She was preceded in death by her father James Reagan. Peggy was deeply loved by her family, whose lives she touched through the years in so many ways. For us, there will always be a special place in our hearts for Peggy. A public viewing will be held at The Masonic Center on Friday, August 8, 2008 from 5 to 7 pm and a memorial service will be held at The Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research (800) 328-1124.
