I, could not bring myself to speak at the Celebration of life for Vanessa, I was to emotional and no one would have a clue as to what I was trying to say. I do apologizes for that. I have lived next to Vanessa for a long time. Maria was my granddaughter( I made her mine) since I think she was around 7 years old, mine were so far away. We enjoyed all the time we got to spend with the family. Vanessa would always have me come swim in their swim pool.Which Marie always tried to dunk me , But I'm older she never did. I would cook something like salsa and send over to them. I had Maria help me and show her how to make blackberry jelly. We had a good time with the family. THICK and THIN good times and bad like all families. Vanessa that woman could cook. Living on the island was fun with all the fishing derby's. Michale and his family camped out at the lake. I didn't get to meet Hunter (darn it) me and my baby fix have to get them when I can.
Vanesses will be missed by so many and LOVED by so many.
She will always be in our Hearts. Prays go out to the family. Marie we will always have our girls day!! LOVE YOU !! Grandma, Grandpa PONIS

I remember that I thought you were the most beautiful woman I ever saw. I remember how you would make the family holidays seem so special with your elaberate dinners and desserts. You were so special to me that I named you Aunt Sassy when I was little because I could not pro nounce your name. I really missed you throughout the years and I wish we could have become close again. You raised Maria and for that you will always be in my heart. I have always loved you and I always will miss you..

I worked with Vanessa at MultiCare Health System. She was always fun to spend time with. We learned how to ski together, she was very patient as I kept falling all over her in the ice! We also river rafted on several rivers together. I was so sorry to hear what happened. Rest in peace my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends through this difficult time.
