Obituary of Rose Alice Thompson

Rose Alice Thompson, 72, a longtime resident of Lacey, died Saturday, April 15, 2006 at her home. She was born July 18, 1933 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota to French Canadian parents, Albert Henry and Martine (Cloutier) Belland. In 1950 she married Richard I. LaBonte. The couple had four children, Glenn , Nanette, Richard and Darren. Rose was a member of the V.F.W, Capitol Woodcarvers and the Lacey Senior Center. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church including the Stephen Ministry and Cursillo. She loved being outside, taking long walks, gardening, maintaining her home, landscaping her yard, bird watching, wood carving and quilting. Rose is survived by her children, Nanette and Keith Baker, Glenn and Charlene LaBonte; Darren and Marie LaBonte; grandchildren, Jeffery Hoheisel, Jason Hoheisel, Jennie Ellis, Brandon LaBonte, Richard LaBonte, III, Nicholas LaBonte, Bailey LaBonte, and Bryce LaBonte and great grandchildren, Adrianne Davis-Hoheisel, Krystyona Hoheisel, Jason Hoheisel, II, Jack, Ben and Luke Ellis, Logan and Ethan LaBonte. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Richard I. LaBonte, I, her son, Richard LaBonte, II, her parents and three of her six siblings. A memorial mass will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church a reception will follow the service at 11:00 a.m., at the Lacey Senior Center. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
