Molly, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. She and I both started to work for the school district at about the same time. She was a wonderful gal that always brightened up a room when she arrived. She had the gift of gab and I always looked forward to working with her. I can't imagine the terrible loss you and your family are experiencing now. I can only pray that time will help ease the pain. Take care, Melissa

So sorry we couldn't come to the services for your beloved mother. She was a wonderful person and my husband and I feel lucky to have known them both. I really enjoyed working with your mom (and dad) at Top Foods. They were such a loving couple and I know this last year has been so hard for your mom to go on without her true love. I hope you get some comfort in knowing she and your dad are together again and in no pain. With deepest sympathy, Linda and Gary Dain

To the family of Gloria & John, my deepest condolences to you all. I worked with your folks at Top Foods & have such fond memeories of your mom & dad. Such a loving couple & they always talked so proudly of their children. What a rough year you have all had. I am glad I got a short visit with Gloria this fall. They will be greatly missed. I hope you can have comfort in knowing they are together and at peace.

I am proud to be a surrogate son of the Tharp family, and I am deeply saddened by the passing of Gloria. How true it seems that when two people love each other so much for so long that even death cannot keep them separated for long. It broke my heart last January to say goodbye to John and even moreso to see the devastation in Gloria's eyes at his service.
I can only imagine how difficult this past year has been for her, both emotionally and physically. I hope she is now at peace with John. They were the kindest folks I knew growing up. Living examples of the golden rule.
Here's to an exceptional Matriarch of one of my favorite families. And to the family members still here and in pain, I love you all and always will.

I am so sorry for your loss. Gloria has had a tough road this last year.
I need not mention the hurdles she has had. I know she is in a better place, with much peace and no more suffering.
I attended Aquinas Academy with Gloria and we graduated together in 1960. Our class has been meeting once a month for the past three + years. We have all had the opportunity to reunite with Gloria during this time. I feel fortunate that we visited, and
was with her before things took a turn in her life.
My heart goes out to all of you. I will keep you in my prayers during this difficult time in your lifes. I know this last year has been difficult.
Judy Clark Dufresne, Aquinas classmate, 1960

We have known both Gloria and John since before we all had gray hair.
They were our dearest friends and we will miss Gloria so much.Having lost John less than a year ago it is hard believe Gloria is now gone too. We shared many a good times with Gloria and John, trips to the canal with our "group," and to Canada and Hawaii. Our card games and dinners with the whole gang will not be forgotten by any of us. On one of our last trips to Hawaii, we went to pick them up for the trip to the airport, and Joe ask Gloria what was in this one bag that was so heavy, her answer was one he was not expecting, she said, " my coffee maker and mugs". Gloria will live in our memory as our friend who flew her coffee maker and mugs across the Pacific because the ones in the hotels were too small. We loved them both so much and their were so much a part of our lives We have a hard time seperating them in our minds. but we know they are back together and are not suffering, it is the ones left behind that our sad because we do not have her here.
We send our deepest sympathy to her family. Love Joe & Judy Bear

My heart aches and is sad. My spirit is at peace knowing her pain and suffering is over. The joy of knowing she is with the love of her life, Johnny and her dad helps with pain of the loss. I started working for Gloria at Hickory Farms in 1985. Our friendship formed over the years. Our paths have crossed so often that I knew she was meant to be a part of my life. Time apart never seemed to affect our friendship and for that I am so thankful. We have shared joys and saddness together. Life will not be the same without her. My deepest sympathy to her family. Love Shauna
