Obituary of Ed Tennyson

Ed Tennyson Ed Tennyson, 83, of Olympia, died April 22, 2009. He was born December 12, 1925 in Olympia to Fred and Fannie Tennyson. He was an Olympia High School graduate of 1943. Ed joined the Navy serving in the South Pacific during WW II and served on the USS Massachusetts. In June 1946 he married Barbara Loree Abel and they resided in Olympia. After Barbara's death in 1996, he married Doris Thompson on February 21, 2001. He worked in management for U.S. West Telephone Company. Among his hobbies were woodworking, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, Mariners, Seahawks, computers, travelling, and history. Ed is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, Steven Edward Tennyson and Dan Alan Thompson; daughters, Diane Lee Foster and Marlynne Crass; grandchildren, Kristi Hill and Cameron Crass; also 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Davidson. Funeral service will be held at graveside 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Masonic Memorial Park, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater.
