Monday, August 2, 2010
Teri,
This is Carole Paulson from Seattle (now Salem, Or) and I read of both your dad and your mom's passing. I know you have a lot of information on life, death and everything in-between but I just wanted you to know that I thought of you and am wishing you peace from grief and many moments of healing. (keepsakeschis@gmail.com) if you ever want to talk- I think of many of the spiritual things we learned together and therefore, you, many times.
Take care,
Carole

Karen,
There has to be an enormous hole in your heart with your husband's absence. His memorial service was a very special tribute to a very special man & his family. Thank you for sharing him with all of us who admired him. When Pete retired in 1991 he was there. With all the many commitments he had we felt very honored by his presence. Please take care of yourself & allow your family & friends to hold you up when you feel you can't.
Most sincerely, Pete & Maggie

Chief Tellevik was a friend and a close working Law Enforcement associate. While I was Sheriff of Grant County I had several meetings to discuss Law Enforcement issues with the Chief. He was always available for me to see him on mutual problems. He was a true professional in Law Enforcement.

I'm so sorry to hear about George. I just found out. I know it is nice to know he is no longer suffering, but leaves such a void in your life.
George was always so friendly to everyone, didn't know a stranger. I enjoyed getting to know him these last few years.
I hope you take care of yourself. What would we do without our kids. They are such great support. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Lots of Love, Annette

Our memories of George are so positive that it is hard to put into words. He was such a dear friend and the times we spent together sailing on Puget Sound, dinners in Arizona, sharing a scotch on occasion, and any number of events in Olympia are memories that we will cherish forever. He was certainly the most upbeat and positive person we ever have known - he loved life, the people around him and most of all, his family. George is not someone that you can easily forget and his passing leaves a huge hole in all of our lives.

Teri & Kim - I have such wonderful memories of your family as friends and neighbors from so many years ago! I'll never forget your dad - tall handsome man in the crisp officers uniform, the badge and wide brimmed hat, and that big shiny patrol cruiser - he was one of my true heroes when I was a kid. I know that it must be very difficult for you all during this time of loss. On behalf of the Johnson family, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

George will be greatly missed. He shared our luncheon table at the Olympia Rotary for many years and was much respected by all as a leader and friend. We felt we knew your family because George always shared how proud he was of you all and the good memories of travel, Arizona winters and sailing. George lived life to the fullest and exemplified the Rotary four way test. I was so pleased he attended a meeting just a few weeks ago and we had the opportunity to say good by. He was brave and positive to the end.

Karen and Family, we will miss George very much. We were lucky to have such a great friendship these past 20 years and we had such great times sailing every summer for most of those years. Our best times were our evenings on the boat with great meals and playing Trivial Pursuit. George's exuberance about everything he experienced in life was an inspiration to all. We so loved that about him. He was always positive even facing his last challenge. There will be a void in our lives with him gone. He was a great man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Sandy and Jack

Karen, Terri, Kim and all the Tellevik clan,
We were so sorry to hear of George's passing. He truly was ONE ofa kind! We will never forget when our son, Matt, had hurt his arm, and he drove through a raging snow storm to transport us to
Dr. Worley's office. He was a "knight in shining armour" that day
when he tackled the undrivable big hill to our house. He will be
missed by many.....thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I am the late Les Moody's son of Moody's towing. I have pictures of George and I standing by his 62 Patrol Car when I was a kid. I used to wash his car for him and what I remember about him is; when he would visit us off duty, he would always wear plaid shorts and my Dad nicknamed his shorts "Tellevik" shorts. Anyone that came over after that with shorts on was told "I see you have your Tellevik's on!" He was quite an influence on myself and my siblings as a child. I never saw him without a smile on his face, no matter what. He leaves HUGE shoes to fill in many lives and this community. I am deeply sorry for the family's loss.

Karen and Family...We were crushed with hearing the passing of George. What a wonderful and great man. He will always be a legend in the Patrol and in our hearts. So many great campouts with you and George. He will be greatly missed. He was one of my dads favorite chiefs. My dad always thought and spoke so highly of George. George always had a smile and a kind word for anyone that was around him. He is one of the nicest men I ever had the pleasure of knowing. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Aunt Karen, Kim & Teri,
Uncle George was truly a gift to all who knew him. I loved the reunions that I was able to attend and catching up with your family. He was always there with a big bear hug and a deep "hello Gina".
I was always very proud to tell my friends and John's family about Uncle George and his accomplishments. Many people in John's family ask about him often and have memories of their own they share.
I know your hearts must be breaking having to say goodbye to your husband and father. Although I have not had to experience this pain yet, please trust that I understand the pain you are in. Uncle George is no longer fighting the terrible cancer and is probably enjoying a nice glass of scotch right now and visiting with all of those who paved his way.
God bless you all.

For Kim, a self-described "Daddy's Girl". I so vividly recall your tones of deep affection and reverence in reminiscences about your father, whom I only met through you. I can only imagine the loss you must be feeling right now and my prayers go out for you to have strength and understanding as you deal with it today and always. Your bright, happy, and loving spirit are one way George lives on after his physical passing. My best wishes also to Kevin and Kilian, Eliot and Haley; the loss is surely deep for all.
God's blessings and love to you all.

George was the best, he once stopped on his way back from Chemo to see me in the hospital after a fall on a Construction project. He brought me a book on sailing and winked at me and said you'll be ok. This is a man who valued life unselfishly and thought of others before himself. I learned a lot from George that day. God Bless you and enjoy the journey to Vallhala

Karen, My thoughts are with you and your family during this time. I remember running into you and George at Carnegies one night after work (many years ago). I worked with George for 7 years from 1971 to 1978. He was just a joy to be around, funloving yet very serious about the job he was doing. You could tell how much he loved the WSP by his enthusiasm every day when he came to work. I don't think I ever knew of George having a bad day. We've lost touch over the years, which I deeply regret, as I moved up to the Seattle area. But I have often thought of my buddies at WSP, and George was right at the top. My love to Karen and the entire Tellevik family. Vicki Gregory Whitney
