Obituary of Larry Ira Stutzman

Larry Ira Stutzman Larry was born the youngest of 11 children on June 27, 1935, to Ira Stutzman and Mary (Boshart) Stutzman in Woodriver, Nebraska. He was married to Beverly Anne Evans on October 6, 1956, and they had one daughter, Kathleen Evans of Salem, OR. They later divorced. He married Harriett Bowman on July 10, 1959. She preceded him in death on July 5, 2009. They had four children, Duane Stutzman (Kim) of Tumwater, WA; Nancy Stutzman-Morlan (Rick) of Tumwater, WA; Roger Stutzman, who passed away as a small child; and Tracy Stutzman (Monica) of Olympia, WA. He grew up in Albany, OR, joined the military as a young man, and served in the Korean Conflict. He moved his family to Tumwater, WA, 45 years ago, and worked at the Olympia Brewing Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, oil painting, fishing and golf, and was a member of the 40 oz. Club at the Red Barn Tavern. He is survived by four children, eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, three sisters and one brother. He was called home on May 8, 2011. He passed peacefully at home with loved ones by his side. The family would like to thank Providence Sound Home Care & Hospice for their amazing care and compassion during the last three weeks.
