Obituary of Raymond H. Stephens

No visitation Raymond Herbert "Ray" Stephens Raymond H. Stephens was born June 8th, 1941 in Helena, Montana to William Argyl and Ellen (Rasmussen) Stephens. He died June 27th in Olympia, WA, where he had been living for the past 19 years. Ray attended grade school in Wisdom, Montana and graduated from Park County High School. He went to college in Dillon at Western Montana College. Ray could be described as a soft spoken and helpful man. Rarely was he seen without his cowboy boots and Stetson hat. On April 27, 1980 he married Shirley Wise in Reno, NV. He took very good care of her. Raymond was a long distance truck driver. He drove for Tripp Trucking, Interstate Distributors and Jim Palmer Trucking. He was a member of the Teamsters and the Moose Lodge. Raymond loved dogs and cats (Siamese in particular), antiquing, and attending auctions. Raymond is survived by his wife Shirley A. Stephens, brother, David K. Stephens (Diann) of Dillon, MT; two sisters, Maryellen Wilkerson (John), Dillon, MT., T. J. Vietor, Philipsburg, MT; one aunt, Edith Johnson, Dillon, MT; two sons, Noel B. Stephens (Linda) of Tuscon, AZ, son Shane D. Stephens (Kathy) of Billings, MT; two daughters, Misty Weeks, Missoula, MT and Verna Otis, Butte, MT; his step mother Eileen Stephens, Philipsburg, MT; also two grandsons, Isaac F. Stephens and Noah F. Stephens; five granddaughters, Madison G. Stephens, Marlin, Lavina and Talia Blodgett, Darlene Stephens, and one great grandchild, Angelynn. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, W.A. Stephens and Ellen Stephens, and two aunts, Amy and Hallie Stephens.
