Billie Stendera

Obituary of Billie Kathleen Stendera

11:00 - 1:00, Friday, October 19th, 2007 at Masonic Center 455 North Street SE, Tumwater, Washington Billie Kathleen Stendera She is at the gates, and the light on her face is alive. Already He knows her, and for a split second she dares to forget who she is; the beauty is enough. Then her name returns to her, and it has changed. Now she knows what it means. Heaven is a high-voltage life. Heaven is beauty enough to get drunk on. Heaven is huge. She will never arrive at its end; she will never tire of the journey, because it's a journey into the pulsing heart of God. Billie Kathleen Stendera, born June 1st, 1953, went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, October 12th, 2007. She is survived by her husband Randy, son Matt (Lizz), daughters Amy, Ashley, father Bill (Linda), and sister Alison. Billie was an inspiration to all those she came into contact with, especially over her most recent 4 year battle with bone cancer (metastisized breast cancer). As Alison will tell you, she was the light that drew her Mother, Father, Sister and other family to the Lord early in life. Randy knew her as his great friend, whom he will always cherish as "a lady", polished and poised. Billie also knew how to kick up her heals and have fun - Amy and Ashley share memories of great pranks they pulled with Mom at the lead, including their first time out tp-ing. Love is the first thing that comes to Matt's mind - a deep love for his mother (that and her fantastic Christmas baking!). Stong and dear are the recollections of Billie from years past - even weeks past. She will always be remembered, always be loved, and always be cherished. Through her legacy of Faith, embraced by her family, they look forward to being reunited with her in Heaven as promised by the Savior... His sweet presence is part of her afterglow.
