Obituary of Roger Anthony Soudah

Roger Soudah EARLY YEARS Born February 2, 1936 in Jerusalem...middle child. Sister 4 yrs older and one brother 16 months younger than Roger. (his parents and sister preceded him in death) Roger started working in a compounding pharmacy in Jerusalem as a teenager. At age 20 he made a courageous move to the USA, leaving behind all he knew and that was familiar to him. He settled in Olympia, WA, living with a family who owned a drug store. As he had not finished his education in Jerusalem he continued here, finishing at the U of W in pharmacy. MARRIAGE/FAMILY Roger met and married Margaret (better known to many as Marj) in June of 1961. They had their first child... Minai in 1963, later followed by her sister in 1966. Many know how devastated Roger was when his first daughter contracted spinal meningitis at the early age of 7 weeks and lives with 3 major handicaps due to that. THINGS HE ENJOYED Roger found great enjoyment in always having cats in the family home. He also loved watching the birds coming to the yard and other various animals. He enjoyed keeping up with the stock market and his computer and various programs that he had on his computer. Roger was talented as an artist. He took many, many photos of the family and flowers. Roger is survived by his wife of 47 years and his 2 daughters Minai and Jami Thomas and husband Rick and his 3 granddaughters... Becca, Abbi, and Jessi Thomas. Also his brother Claude Soudah and his wife Sue and several nephews and nieces.
