Obituary of Elmer Snyder

Elmer Lee Snyder Elmer Lee Snyder, age 76, of Centralia, WA passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Providence Centralia Hospital. Born on December 24, 1933 in Densmore, Kansas, he was the son of Merle and Maudie Mae (Kincaid) Snyder. Elmer married Judith Leeann (Clark) on July 16, 1955 in Phillipsburg, Kansas. Together they had three daughters; Tena, Kim and Terri all of Centralia, and a son, Tracy who preceded Elmer in death. He is also survived by two sisters, Ferma Kahle and Pauline Thaut, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. While raising his family, Elmer worked as an auto mechanic and a heavy equipment mechanic and also worked for Centralia Coal Mine for 14 years. In his earlier years he served our country being in the US Army from 1954-1957 before being honorably discharged at Ft. Lewis. He loved old cars and was a member of I-90 Car Club. He was a member of The Church of Christ and known as an easy going individual. Besides his son and parents, Elmer was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
