Obituary of Mary Smith

Mary Elizabeth Wilson Smith Mary Elizabeth Wilson Smith, 67, of Lacey died June 5, 2009 after battling with lung cancer over the last year. She was born on April 8th 1942 in Houston, Texas to the proud parents of Lossie Lee Murray and Elbert Rodgers. Mary worked for Safeway Grocers for 30 Years, after which she retired to spend more time with her grandchildren Cody and Elizabeth Smith. Her interests included baking, cooking, sports, internet shopping, neighborhood socializing, and being with family. Mary was a member of the New Life Baptist Church. She is survived by her two sons, James Wilson and Leonard A. Smith; four daughters, Janet Elizabeth Wilson, Julie Elaine Wilson-Scott (husband Travis H. Scott), Jacqueline Evette Armstrong, and Kimberly Anithra Sorby; Brother Franklin D. Roosevelt Murray; sister, Sharron Tryels and a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Leonard Smith. A prayer vigil was held at the Smith house at 2:45pm, Thursday, June 11, 2009.
