Obituary of Joyce Smith

Joyce H. Smith December 10, 1920—September 8, 2010 Joyce was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and grew up in Lake of the Woods County, Minnesota. She married Charles A. Smith of Olympia in 1941, where she spent the remainder of her Life. She was preceeded in death by Charles in July 1979. Joyce was a grocery checker for 28 years in local stores, retiring from Ralph’s Thriftway. Upon retiring, she had many hobbies. She belonged to the Eagles, Moose, VFW, and a Pinnacle club. Joyce is survived be DeAnn Casteel (Bob) Dennis Smith, Sue Black (Larry), and Bret Smith (Kelly), Eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her sister, Phyllis Allen and two brothers, Bill O’Neill (Melba), Don Eickhoff (Bonnie), and was preceeded in death by her sister, Ila Nelson.
