Obituary of William C. Short

William Clarence Short, 91, a 65 year resident of Grays Harbor and surrounding area, passed away on March 29, 2010 at RooLan Healthcare in Lacey, WA. William was born October 19, 1918 in St. Joseph, MO to Henry and Minnie Short. He served his country during WWII as a member of the U.S. Navy serving in the South Pacific Theaters from 1941-1945. William and the former Miss Ruth Hedman were married in Hoquiam on January 26, 1946. He worked as an electrician for 64 years before retiring. When not hard at work, he enjoyed growing a vegetable garden and sharing his faith with others. William was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 63 years.Surviving William are his wife Ruth Short; son, Mark Short; daughter, Debra Crowder; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Ray Short and Wilmer Short; and sister, Jean Williams.
