Obituary of Victor Lee Shaw

Victor Lee Shaw Victor Shaw, 61, passed away August 18, 2011 in Seattle, Washington. He was born July 24, 1950 in Olympia, WA to Juana Elaine and Earl Shaw. He graduated from Tumwater High School in 1968, and married Dixie Keeland on March 25, 1974 in Olympia. Victor had worked for Intercity Transit since December 1981. Prior to that, he owned State Security Patrol from January 1974 to December 1979. Victor had a great sense of humor, liked to pull pranks, was quick witted, could come up with one-liners on the spot, and loved animals and eating donuts. He appeared rough on the outside but really was a teddy bear who was always available when someone needed help. Victor was a dedicated family man, was truly a romantic, and was completely devoted to the love of his life, his wife, Dixie. He liked spending time with friends and family, exploring caves and mine shafts, his 1923 Ford Model T, boating, riding quads, spending time in the woods on his property, going on cruises, going to Hawaii, restoring tractors, and guns (especially his “Tommy” gun. Victor was past master of Olympia Lodge #1 F&AM in 1991 and 1999, Chairman of Masonic Cemetery Association, Shop Stewart Amalgamated Transit Union, and on the committee of OCPC at Intercity Transit. Victor is survived by his wife, Dixie Shaw of Olympia, WA; sons, Robert Shaw and Ben Shaw, both of Olympia; daughter, Robin Shaw of Olympia; grandchildren, Bobbie, Maxzine, Mikkie and Robert Shaw; uncle, Robert Shaw and wife Faye; two cousins, several brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ben Shaw; and nephew, Coty Shaw. He was loved by all and will truly be missed.
