Obituary of Carmen Segura

There will be a visitation from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA Carmen Segura, 67, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on January 14, 2010 at Puget Sound Health Care in Olympia, WA. Carmen was born on March 10, 1942 in Sauhayo Michoacan, Mexico. She was the third of twelve children. In 1960 she married Jesus Segura in Sauhayo and in 1974 they moved to the rich agricultural valley of Yakima, WA where she raised her seven children. She worked for the Evan’s Fruit Company for many years.Carmen is survived by her husband Jesus; three sons, Jesus, Santiago, and Trinidad, all of Yakima; three daughters, Carmen of Yakima, Lourdes of Pasco, WA and Aurelia of Olympia, WA; 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to her parents Antonio and Maria Venegas, she was preceded in death by her son Antonio; two brothers, Chema and Tono; and two sisters, Clementia and Teresa.
