none Permelia (Pam) Schroeder We lost our yellow rose of Texas. Pam Schroeder passed away in Olympia on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Pam was born Permelia Byrd Hunter in Seymour Texas to Sterling Brown Hunter and Mary Edna Thompson on October 27, 1928. She grew up in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Trinity University in 1949 with a degree in sociology. She married Glenn Louis Schroeder August 10th, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas. Pam and Glenn made their home in Alabama and then moved to Southern California in 1954. She raised three children, Glenn Jr., Connie, and Eric (Rick). She then moved to Washington to be close to family in 1993. Pam enjoyed watching professional baseball, listening to music, reading, and just being at home with family and friends. She made lasting connections with many people in her life. She had a sincere interest in everyone she met and formed relationships easily. She was also deeply devoted to her family, offering encouragement and sharing celebrations and achievements in all aspects of our lives together. She will be dearly missed. To all her family and friends, please know that she always kept you in her heart and prayers, and your relationships with her gave her much happiness through the years. Her parents and her beloved sister Mary Adelaide, preceded Pam in death. She also mourned the loss of a son Glenn, Jr. and later her granddaughter Celeste. Her daughter Connie, her son Rick, and her granddaughters Nichole Noel Schroeder and Aibra Rose Allison survive her. For those who are not able to travel to the Memorial Service, the family would kindly ask that you leave your thoughts and share special memories of Pam here in the guest book.
