Obituary of Johannes S. Scholz

none Johannes S. Scholz, born November 3, 1932, died from Mesothelioma, lung cancer. He was a resident of Yelm for 15 years. On December 20, 1957 he married Patricia Collins. He served in the United States Army and was stationed at Ft Lewis. Scholz worked for the Bricklayer’s Union for 40 years and lived in Tacoma from 1957 – 1990. Among his hobbies were model railroading and gardening and was a member of the Spanaway Park Eagles. Scholz never stopped being a very loving and giving father and husband. He is survived by his spouse, Patricia Janet Scholz; 3 daughters, Laurie Ernest (Dave), of Eatonville, Melissa Scholz, of Tacoma, and Joann Shanks (Leo), of Des Moines; 2 sisters, Ingrid Wolak, of Woodridge, Illinois and Christa Friehe, of Bremerhaven, Germany; also 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2006 at the Masonic Center, 521 North St. SE, Tumwater.
