Obituary of Roberta A. Schlafer

None Roberta A. Schlafer Born on July 25, 1925, Roberta left us on August 15, 2006. Tears from our eyes and broken hearts are present today. We have lost a very precious loved one. The family, friends, and neighbors will miss this most wonderful blessing. Roberta was born in LaConner, Washington, and from there moved onto Samish Island, Washington, where she learned the trade of oyster shucking. She moved to the Olympia area, working for the Boldice and Simmons Oyster Companies. Upon retirement, she volunteered for 12 years at Catholic Community Services. Roberta is survived by her loving family and many great friends, including her friend of 38 years, Juyne Hawthorne, of Olympia. At Roberta's request, there will be no services.
