Marcy - I can't imagine Ben Moore's without you, and I wish I didn't have to. Even when you left for a bit, you were always really still there. That said - I am so grateful for all the years that you were always there, making it feel like a home, like putting on my favorite comfy sweatshirt after a bad day, like I always had a place to go. And not just for me, but for my family and friends. You touched so many and were one of the people who really made Olympia a home for a transplant like me.
To your family and closer friends: Thanks for sharing her with us all, and thanks for putting on a nice party for her today. She woulda liked it a lot.

Marcy was always someone that I could talk to, and was always looking out for us. She'll be missed dearly, and I plan to have a drink or two or three at her memorial service today. Marcela - you are one of a kind.

As part of the Ben Moore's customer family for nearly 30 years I was fortunate to know Marcy, her mother Donna, sister Theresa and other members of the Scheelke/McDonald/Murphy clan. Over the years members of my own family, particularly my mother, Florence and brother, Ted, became Ben Moore's converts and got to know Marcy. We were all very sad to hear of hear of her passing and will miss her friendship, wit, sense of humor and culinary/bar tending skills very much. Marcy, like her mom, was a local icon, one of the characters which helped make this community a better, more interesting place to live. Olympia will not be the same without her.

From the silence of the heart comes prayer, and my prayer for the family is that they will find comfort and peace and eventually joy in knowing that Marcy has finished her 'work' here and is now home. May she rest in the presence of the Lord, where there is no more pain or sorrow. May her heavenly rewards be great.

Sweet, wonderful Marcy... what a beautiful person who could always make me smile. I truly miss her. Oddly enough, she was in my dreams last night, drove by in a big blue Pontiac and smiled and waved- looking happy.
All of you are in my thoughts. With love, Susan

Marcy poured us a drink, cooked our dinner, and even on occasion served it. She never failed to inquire into the latest regarding our son, Paul, who also worked in the service industry for 10 years. We were always glad to see Marcy at Ben's and sorry we will not see her anymore. Our sincere sympathy to her family and she will be deeply missed.

I miss you Marcy, your laughter, your jokes and most of all your presence. You were always a good listener and told it like it was. I miss seeing your van at the capitol for dog walking, your comments to Daisy while walking her, our conversations, your blue apron. May you rest in peace, you are sorely missed by many.
