Obituary of Tina Marie Satter

none Tina Marie Satter had battled with rheumatoid arthritis for over ten years. Things took a turn for the worse on December 17, 2005 and she was admitted into the Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia WA and while treating her, there were additional complications. With her diseased liver, lung capacity depletion and failing kidneys she was finally put on total life support, late Saturday night. After repeated attempts to hydrate her system to increase blood pressure and red blood cell count and with the total failure now of her liver, lungs and kidneys, there was nothing else to be done. Tina struggled all night to recover but passed away at 8:50am Monday morning, she was 37 years old. Tina leaves behind her three children, Christian (9), Aubrihette (13) & Evan (16), who seem to be taking this loss better than their grandparents. Tina had prepared her children, as well as one could expect under the circumstances. Date of Birth:August 11, 1968 – Seattle Washington Date of Death:December 19, 2005 – Olympia Washington Next of Kin:Children: Christian Trey Beechem (9), Aubrihette Rushae Roberts (13), John Evan Roberts, Jr. (16) Parents:Mother: Rushia Eileen Satter (Pechin) and Father: Gilbert John Satter Siblings:Sisters, Tamma Lee Popkes (Satter)and Tanya Eileen Satter and a brother, John Julius Satter. Cause of Death:Septic Shock – Acute Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure Inurnment:Pacific Ocean, New Port Oregon Anecdote: Tina Marie Satter left home at the age of 14; she was a very independent child and remained on her own until she was 21, when she met John Roberts, Sr. They fell in love and had their first born child Evan and followed two years later with their second born child Aubrihette, before they grow apart and separated. It was about three years later when Tina met Mathew Beechem and as their relationship developed they decided to have a child together and Christian was born. Tina only married once, in 2003 to Michael Lee Thompson, a very captivating character, it was about this time when she contracted hepatitis C and later was placed on the liver transplant recipient list, but one never became available for her. While Tina struggled with her disease she spent every extra moment she could with her children. They would travel, go to movies, shopping malls and skating rinks, she always found time to transport them and would even take cousins and friends of her children with them. She was everyone’s favorite Aunt; she would give the shirt off her back to someone in need or sometimes pay her rent late to make sure others had what they needed. She was a free spirited woman with a very loving, kind and forgiving soul. Later it was discovered Tina had Rheumatoid Arthritis and when it worsened, she had the boys move in with Matt Beechem, Christian’s dad and Stepfather to Evan and Aubrihette, in Oregon. The boys would visit regularly, sometimes by train and sometimes Tina, with a friend, would drive all the way down to Springfield OR to pick them up, just for a weekend visit. She spent a lot of time with her children and it was at those times she would explain to them she would soon be going to live in Heaven with Jesus and that she would re-unite with them there, much later in their life. Tina and Aubrihette returned to Oakville and lived in Tina’s parent’s fifth wheel, so her Mother could be her caregiver. Tina had many doctor, prescription and monthly infusion appointments, in Olympia, Seattle and Kent, that her Mom needed to transport her to. During this time Tina and her Mom developed a very close relationship, they would shop, get their hair and nails done and spend a lot of fun time together visiting and getting to know each other as adults, basically they become best friends. Tina would spend a lot of evenings with her Dad discussing Bible stories and believed strongly in the Spirit life, after death on Earth. She knew she would be forgiven her sins and dwell in the house of our Lord, forever. Tina and her Dad would discuss many things about life, she was quite a philosopher and she would share her drawings and sketches and they would talk about the past and things to come. Education: Tina dropped out of school but later studied and received her GED and started attending Pima Institute for Phlebotomy and got her degree as a Phlebotomist. She worked for Lacey Labs; she would go out to retirement and nursing homes, throughout the Northwest, to draw blood. She would also work as a technician in the lab testing blood. It was about this time when she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis a crippling disease, if left untreated. It was the additional damage to her liver, caused by the powerful prescription drug treatments, to allow her mobility, which would finally take her life.
