Obituary of Chester A. Sadlow

Chester A. Sadlow, 75, a resident of Lacey for 14 years died Monday, April 18, 2005. He was born April 15, 1930 in Adams, Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Chester married A. Helen Thompson on June 8, 1957 in Overland Park, Kansas. He began a career at the Westinghouse Electric Corporation in 1952. Began as an Engineer in Philadelphia, PA and Kansas City, MO and progressed to becoming an Executive Vice-President for the company before retiring in 1988. He lived in Kansas City, Missouri from 1957 to 1958, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1958 to 1959 and the Pittsburgh, PA area for 31 years, 1960 to 1991. Chester enjoyed Golf, Racquetball and Bowling He was past President of Mended Hearts of Thurston County, Chapter #130. He was a Board Advisor, Past Board Member, holding various offices for Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Thurston County He is survived by his wife, Helen Sadlow of Lacey; Daughter, Linda Sadlow of Lacey and Sister, Carolyn Owczarski of Arlington, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. There will be a Funeral service Monday, April 25, 2005 at 1:00 at Masonic Center, 521 North St. S.E., Tumwater, WA.
