Obituary of Phyllis Marie Mack

Phyllis Marie Mack, 82, of Centralia, Washington, passed away February 15, 2017 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. She spent her last days surrounded by her children and loving husband. Born in Sacramento, California in 1935 to Elsie and Phillip Duffy, she grew up in Redding, California, where Phyllis attended school and met Ernie Mack, the love of her life. They married in 1955 and spent the next 62 wonderful years together, moving from Tampa, Florida, where Ernie was in the Air Force, back to California and finally settled in Washington. She is survived by her husband, Ernie Mack; three children, Steven, Kathy, Suzanne and their spouses; six grandchildren, Courtney, Jason, Kip, RJ, Bailey, Jessie; four great grandchildren, Emmi-lin, Trever, Allie-Mae, Samara; her beloved dog, Buster; brothers, James Duffy (and son, Tim) and Michael Duffy; and many friends. Phyllis was active in community affairs and volunteered through numerous organizations, her favorite being Fox Theatre in Centralia. She loved to play cribbage and pinochle, and most of all she loved to take road trips with Ernie and their dogs. Phyllis was always happy and had a beautiful smile for everyone she met.
