Obituary of David Allen Russell
David Allen Russell, Sr.
David Allen Russell, Sr., died on May 1, 2008 in Olympia. He was born December 19, 1936 to Delmas and Portia Russell in Franklin, Kentucky. He was a journeyman electrician with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Union 76. On July 30, 1982, David married the former Jolene Laber, who survives.
He was a wood craftsman, and had other interests in auto restoration, designing and building, politics, the outdoors and animals. He lived life to the fullest. He loved fast cars, motorcycles, 3 wheelers and the sound of powerful auto engines and laughter.
Survivors, including his wife Jolene, are two sons; Anthony Russell of Indianapolis, Indiana and David Russell of California; one daughter, Tracy Johnston of Indianapolis; three brothers, James Alex Russell and Delmas Wayne Russell both of Nashville, Tennessee and Roger Russell of Tacoma; five sisters, Geneva Sorrells, Norma Jean Holt, Frankie Dee Kohn, Wanda Kay Lucher and Vicki Lynn Escue all of Nashville; also seven grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Clara Jo Talley, Trudy Pruett and Janice Eidson; and one brother, Phillip Russell.
