Obituary of Delbert C Russell
GOD SAW HE WAS GETTING TIRED
AND A CURE WAS NOT TO BE.
SO HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND HIM
AND SAID, “COME WITH ME.”
WITH TEARFUL EYES WE WATCHED,
AND SAW HIM FADE AWAY,
ALTHOUGH WE LOVED HIM DEARLY,
WE COULD NOT MAKE HIM STAY.
A PRECIOUS HEART STOPPED BEATING,
GENTLE HANDS CAME TO REST,
GOD BROKE OUR HEARTS TO PROVE TO US
HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST.
Del heeded the call of the Lord and left this earth 9/7/2007 after a short illness. He was born in Oregon on 7/19/1947.
Del was interested in fishing, auto repair, flower gardening and most of all, his constant, loveable poodle “Tinker” who will be inurned with Del per his wishes.
Del is survived by his son, Michael Andrew Kezer Russell; his sister Laura M. Player; and his brother Larry K. Reed.
