Obituary of James Ruchty

James “Jim” Ruchty Jim Ruchty was born in Olympia, WA, on March 20, 1935, and passed away at home in Olympia on September 22, 2011. He raised his family in Silverdale in the third house built on Nels Nelson Road, while working for the Federal Government at both Keyport and Bangor bases. After retiring, he and his wife moved to Grayland, WA, to enjoy their golden years at the beach. They returned to Olympia in 2007 to build a home with their son. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; son, David; daughters, Kim and Cindy; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sisters, Marilyn and Janice. Jim loved gardening, woodworking, animals and spending time with his family and friends. Donations may be made in Jim’s memory to Assured Hospice at 2102 Carriage St. SW, Suite D, Olympia, WA 98502.
