Obituary of Gerald Rood

None Gerald (Bud) E. Rood Gerald (Bud) E. Rood passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the age of 76. He was born on the family farm near the town of Newman Grove, Nebraska on December 28, 1933. Bud served in the US Army during the Korean war as a medic. Bud never married but was very close to all his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. The real love of Bud's life was horse racing. Bud and his brother Harold worked together for many years as carpenters and spent many happy days together at Longacres Racetrack. There will be a graveside memorial on Saturday, May 22 at 1:00 p.m., Woodlawn Cemetery, 5930 Mullen Rd SE, Lacey.
