Obituary of Robert Roberts

No visitation Robert Roberts died in Olympia, Washington on April 28, 2007. Bob Roberts was born August 13, 1923 in Tacoma. He was preceded in death by his caring parents, George and Hazel; his wonderful brother, Richard and his loving wife, Rosemary Wilson Roberts. Bob is survived by his two daughters, Rebecca and Jennifer; nephew, Mark; nieces Pamela and Paula; and dear partner, Connie Cross. Bob enjoyed nature: boating, fishing, shrimping, gardening and bee-keeping. He was fun-loving and looked forward to dancing, bowling, playing golf and cards with his many fabulous friends. He was industrious. Bob built two houses from scratch with his friends and family and worked for decades as an optician at his own Olympia business with trusted partners Douglas and Lon Stein. Services will be held on Friday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge, 521 North St. SE, Tumwater, Washington. All are welcome to attend a reception afterwards where we hope to share our fond memories of Bob, what he taught us all about the love of life, and what we can learn from his example. In lieu of flowers and donations, gifts made to Heifer Foundation (www.heifer.org) or any charity of your choice would be appreciated.
