Obituary of Lois Rimer

Lois M. Rimer, 83, a former resident of Grayland, WA passed away at her home in Olympia on September 11, 2010. Lois was born on March 12, 1927 to Elsie and John Rimer in Wayne County, Ohio. Lois received her Bachelor of Nursing from Teachers College of New York and her Masters of Nursing from The University of Washington. Lois also served in the Army Reserve Nursing Corps. During her career, Lois worked as a Registered Nurse at Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and also at Pacific Lutheran University as a teaching Nurse.When not working, Lois enjoyed a wide variety of activities such as kayaking, biking, reading, stamping, studying Tea History and Social Tea Customs, skiing, and birding. Lois lectured on the History of Tea and prepared many High Teas for various organizations. She was also a member of AAUW and Friends of Westport Library. Lois is survived by her sister Margaret Cain of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her brother Jack Rimer. No services are planned.
