Dear Marica,
Dave and I saw Ken's obituary this morning in the paper. We are so sorry to learn of his passing and send you our deepest sympathy.
I have so many fond memories of you and Ken and the good times the four of us had during the years you and I were working at the University of Washington and you and Ken were living in Edmonds.
Ken had so many enviable skills: cooking (his pizza was the best),
landscaping, gardening, construction to name a few. It was a joy to witness the love and companionship you shared together as husband and wife and parents to Martha and Joe.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Barbara

Dear Marcia,
Words are only words, I know, but these words to you come with love and carry sorrow for you and your family. The one time I met Ken at your home, I could sense his goodness and see it in the way the two of you related to one another. That and his character are also reflected in the beautiful home you built to share in your retirement. I hold you in prayer and will see you soon.
