Obituary of Eunice Belle Rice

. EUNICE B. RICE Eunice B. Rice, 70, a former resident of Newberg, Oregon, died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at her home in Grapeview, Washington. She was born February 4, 1935 in Portland, Oregon to Lyle & Stella (Light) Townsend. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Portland, Oregon in 1952. Eunice married Lewis E. Rice, October 20, 1951 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Portland, Oregon. She worked in Retail Grocery Service as a clerk for Safeway, Thriftway, Albertson’s and Fred Meyer. She enjoyed reading, gardening and bowling and was a member of several bowling leagues. She was also a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Lewis E. Rice; five sons, David R. Rice, Hillsboro, Ore., Michael J. Rice, Gerald A. Rice, Patrick L. Rice all of Newberg, Ore., and John S. Rice of Olympia, Wash.; one daughter, Nancy A. Hays, Scotts Mills, Ore.; one brother, Jack D. Ellison of Rowlett, Tex., and a Sister, Barbara M. Weatherbee of Sequim, Wash.; also fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
