From your love and friend forever. posted a condolence
Friday, June 27, 2008
You have been gone from my physical life for a year now Tooter, but not from my heart and soul. I was so blessed to have you in my life for 57 years. We survived some hard times, it was the love we had for each other and respect for family that saw us through those times. We had 3 beautiful girls together and they will always be with us. Thank you for all the support you gave me in everything that I did and didn't do, you were always there and your shoulder was a good spot for my head when I was down. God will take care of you and I will be with you one day when he is ready for me, save me a seat. I am so glad that you are pain free, but sorry that I didn't get the chance to make you well. I love you today and more tomorrow. A big hug and our hand thing, it was always special and meant so much to us both. Tell Bobby and JB hello and give the love and hugs.

To my poo! I miss you so much that sometimes I can't hardly bare it at all! But you are pain free and we will all get through this together no matter what. You were my only grandpa I had, and no one could ever replace the person you were! Danny-doo said it all below! All the water skiing, camping, trips to dairy queen etc......but my fondest memory is the FISHY SONG! GRANDPA SING THE FISHY SONG!!!!! You gave us all nick-names that even included close friends of ours. We will remember those names and continue to use those and every time we do we will laugh and know where we got these silly names from!!! Napoleon, gertrude, betty boop, pedro, donna, bob, etc... the list goes on. You are loved by all and missed by all. You touched so many peoples lives by just being kind and honest. Thank you for the last 3 years!! I was able to talk and visit with you more. The kids and I will continue send balloons up to heaven when we need a hug from you!!!!!! I love you poo and miss you lots.
I love you moo and we will get through this all together..........

Pat and family,
I am saddened to hear of your loss. When Bill (Rhoads)and I would visit Pat and Wes in Roseburg prior to our moving to Roseburg the land mark that we had arrived was Mt Nemo and, at that time, the goats. Wes would tell us about the goats and their history every time we visited. Still when I come North on I 5 and see Mt Nemo I think of Wes and Pat. Know you and the family are in our thoughts and hearts. I wish you all health and wellness.

Thankful you're not in any more pain Poo. You taught me so much about life (waterskiing, killing weeds, taking care of cars, making fudge, being a loving parent), and about what's important, family! All that you have taught me will live on in my children and theirs...I am the person I am today because of you! :) Thank you for loving me no matter what and always being there with words of wisdom, I always needed it and appreciated it! I will miss you everyday and promise to continue making you proud! I LOVE YOU POO so much. XOXOX I will keep you in my heart always, the most amazing memories ever- You are simply an incredible man and I'm proud of the life you lived!

Pat,
My fondest childnood memories are from the years you and Wes "introduced" our family to camping and water skiing. It was more like get yer tent and slap on some ski's boy (my dad) and I'm going to drag you behind this boat while your family watches from the shore. At least Dad was sure we all had housing that night should he come out on the wrong side of the deal. And thus it began. The most joyful time of my childhood and the times I remember my dad laughing the most. Ann was a ski babe, Mark was a wobble knee and I begged to be out on the boogie board, and, of course, mom's first "Hit It" seemed to mean 'have a seat' while we drag you around the lake.
These days Dad gets this great smile on his face and settles into his barcolounger to tell a whopper anytime we talk about waterskiing or camping. Mom's quiet but loved every minute of it.
All I can think of is that we have these Joyful Memories all because of Wes. We, like you, are truely blessed. God bless you, Pat.

From the first moments of meeting Wesley, I was regaled with stories about Dean, Tom and Bill. He told each story with a special flare and made each one of them appear very special and that the family event they were at wouldn't have been the same without each one of them. They all have great memories of Uncle Wes and camping, fishing and hunting. He will always remain in a special place in all of our hearts.

Dear Pat & Family; My heart pours out to you and your family and the emptiness you are dealing with today. My memories of are of Wes and Pat walking together hand in hand along the streets in Roseburg, Or. After they both retired, they both would walk for miles together on a regular routine; I'm sure sharing stories they've experienced after all those years, and making plans about moving to Washington to be near their children and help out. May memories never lose the magic to rekindle the closeness that lives in the heart. Wes will be missed by all; he was a gentle loving spirit. Praying that Memories will Comfort you all.
Love Rebecca & Phil

Dear Pat Linda Sharon and Randy,
I have many fond memories of Uncle Wes, one that stands out is of him dancing with me at one of his daughters wedding I was 7 or 8 and felt very grown up standing on the tops of his shoes. Uncle Wes was always the funnest person in the room at any gathering and growing up when ever we went to a family function my sister Kris and I always asked "Will Uncle Wes be there?" We will miss him. Love Patty

I will always remember our short but wonderful friendship.

Sharon and Pat, my thoughts and love are with you and your wonderful family at this very difficult time. I never got the change to know Wes very well, but I know he must have been a wonderful, loving, nurturing father and husband because of what I see in his family. He is in a much better place in the loving arms of God. He will forever remain in your hearts.
Love Kathy.

I just received the message on the e-mail. thank you for letting us know of Wes's passing. I have lasting memories of our youth, fishing, hunting and good times. Barb and I just mentioned this morning that we hadn't heard from Wes and he had said it was his turn to call. A duck hunting trip from the draw bridge at Lake Ewauna was recalled, as being very cold winter day. Wes fell off the raft, survived and had to walk home with wet clothes. I am terribly saddened by his passing but truly have wonderful memories. We still owe you a lunch as you were so hospitable last time we visited you in Roseburg. Love, Bob
